The following orthopedic waiting periods apply to pet insurance policies in Louisiana.

Orthopedic Waiting Period Details

(Dogs Only) The following orthopedic conditions that occur or show symptoms before the end of the 30-day waiting period are pre-existing for the lifetime of the policy:

· Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD)

· Cruciate Ligament Injury

· Patellar Luxation

· Canine Hip Dysplasia

*All other orthopedic conditions are subject to the 14-day waiting period.

*Orthopedic accidents may be subject to the full orthopedic waiting period.

(Cats only) For cats, there is also a 14-day waiting period for orthopedic conditions.
