Boxer with Tetanus
At 3 months old, Maggie contracted tetanus.
Vet Bill: $1,672
Background
When she was just two months old, Maggie would contract tetanus and have to spend a week in the hospital.
Maggie's pet parent, Troy S., shares her story:
"Maggie is a brindle Boxer and we got her when she was five weeks old. We have three boys (ages 12, 9, 8) and a 20 year old daughter. Once we brought Maggie home as a surprise, she immediately took our hearts and became a member of the family. At 3 months old, Maggie contracted tetanus. Very rare in dogs. We were obviously extremely distraught. She had to stay at the vet for a week for treatment and our vet called Ohio State University several times for consults concerning her treatment. Putting her down was not an option and the specialist's opinion was she had a 75 percent chance of a full recovery.
Maggie made a full recovery. I had forgotten that I signed up for the insurance with Embrace. The staff is beyond reproach and it's obvious they care not only about their clients but the animals as well. I think our "human" health insurance companies could learn a thing or two from Embrace about quality of service, care for clients, and efficiency of work. That's Maggie's true story and this is definitely a rock solid recommendation of the Embrace family."
