Poor Puppy has Hip Dysplasia
Liko the Rottweiler puppy has bad hips at a young age.
Vet Bill: $2,220
Background
Liko the Rottweiler puppy was having some discomfort after his naps and it seemed like he was not getting around well. His owners thought they should get his hips checked out. Even though Liko was very young, they found that had a severe luxation in his hips, a serious genetic condition, due to a flattening of the femoral head.
To treat Liko's hip dysplasia his veterinary specialist needs to perform a FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) surgery on each hip. The right hip has already been treated and as soon as Liko is up for a second procedure, he'll have the left side corrected.
From Liko's family:
"He is doing well...and he is back home resting. I would also like to say that you and Embrace have been absolutely fantastic. Our vet said they have never worked with a more pleasant insurance company and I am very grateful for all your help."
